The Journey

The last two weeks have been difficult. My own personal relationship issues compounded by family issues and a friend's dying cat. Yesterday was especially tough. It was my first time actually being at the vet while an animal was being put down.

It really made me think about life, love, time and the inability to control it all. You can't control what kind of family you are born into. You can't control who you fall in love with. And you can't control when people, pets, or things you love are taken away from you.

With so much out of our control, we often forget the importance of the paths we choose to take. In the end, we all arrive at the same destination. It's our choices in the journey that defines us.
