LA Visit: Family & Disneyland

Last weekend, Kevin and I drove down to LA to visit some family and friends. It's been awhile since I've seen Maddie and my gosh, she's grown! When she was first born, I thought she might be an iffy-picky personality. But no. She is carefree, gung-ho, and generally a happy baby. Rachel Ann is also no longer a toddler, she's practically a little girl. I loved seeing them play together. Rachel Ann definitely takes on the role of 'older sister' and watches out for Maddie.

Lilian is reading to the two little ones...
Rachel Ann being the big sis.
Maddie's first swing ride!

And then it was off to Disneyland! Kevin and I have a deal: He'll go to Disneyland with me, I'll go camping with him. Not sure if I made out well in this deal...

I don't understand why, with digital photography technology, Disneyland can't sell these photos for $5. They would still make a killing and people would be more inclined to purchase.

Chinese people eat everything, including crickets.
Woooo... Donald Peking Duck!
And last but not least, chipmunk buns!

Word to the wise, prepare to get dizzy if sitting with Kevin in the same teacup.I love these! Great for climbing and designated meeting spots!

London & Spain

Here's a highly condensed visual representation of my trip.

Hey look! It's Tesco! They're going to take over the world.
Marble Arch - My home for three days
More Tesco! Wonder if Fresh&Easy is going to be like Tesco Express?
Waitrose. My new favorite supermarket. Everything comes in cute little packages.

Even rabbit meat.
I like "Seriously Good Wine" better.
HAHAHAH!!! Chat-en-ouef! What will they think of next?
Mmmmm..... beeerrrr.....
Forum at British Museum
Rosetta Stone

Millennium Bridge to Tate Modern. No, it doesn't wobble anymore.
Our first tapas meal! Barcelona!
Hotel OMMMMM. Great night scene. Can't say I recommend it as a hotel though. They have no sense of customer service. The night staff consisted of Harry, Curly and Moe with a special appearance by one of the ghastly twins from Matrix II. All of which had no clue how to work in a hotel. The day staff isn't much better either.
Ham! Mmmmm.

Peniscola

Full of paella in Peniscola

And then I got sick. Boo.
