What is age but a number? Does it really matter? Does it define who you are? Does it determine who you should be friends with? Should you use it to gauge your life as in comparison to those around you at your age? What does it mean to act your age?
Age is but a number, a simple designation of how long a person has been in existence. Age shouldn't matter nor should it define who you are. It is not a determinante of who you should be friends with and where you should be in life, how you should act or how much money you should be making.
Growing up, I've always hated being my age. I didn't understand the people around me that were my age and they didn't understand me. Of course then I didn't realize that the mentality was different. I just thought I was different, or rather, indifferent. It was easier to detach than to attempt to rationalize at that age. Slowly, though, I did begin to understand myself more and those around me. Graduating into adulthood and no longer academically bound to those in my age group gave birth to a culturally, ethnically and age diverse group of friends which I am eternally grateful for.
It is truly just a number. And I feel that I pass no judgement on anyone of any age. But why is it that for relationships beyond the platonic, age is still a factor?
Blink, blink of the cursor. Staring blankly. It kills, but I don't have an answer. Slowly learning that there are no answers...

Claustrophobic
To anyone who knows me, I may not come off as a claustrophic commitment-phobe. But in actuality, the thought of being trapped anywhere or in any situation is not a happy thought for me.
For New Year's, the entire family and then some is going on a Mexican Riveria cruise. Seven nights on a 952 foot long ship with 13 decks sharing a 13ft x 13ft square room with my step-sister.
I will be looking forward to the following:
Central Pool with Bar
Wine and Caviar Bar
Wheelhouse Bar
Crooners Bar
Wakeview Bar
Sundaes Ice Cream Bar
Prior to departure, I will be thinking of the following:
How much booze can I sneak onto the ship?
What's the ratio of wine to spirits should I bring?
Will be it be worthwhile to bring mini spirits or should I just go with large bottles?
Beer is refreshing but low alcohol in volume. Would it be prudent to waste precious luggage space on beer at all?
But most of all, WHAT THE *&^% AM I GOING TO DO ON A BLEEP-ING BOAT FOR 8 DAYS?!
